Dr. Anil Bhan isn’t just a cardiovascular surgeon – he’s a visionary who has transformed heart care in India. A gold medalist from Medical College Srinagar, his journey in medicine has been nothing short of remarkable.

In 1994, he made history as part of the team behind India’s first successful heart transplant. Since then, his skilled hands have performed over 15,000 cardiac and vascular procedures, giving countless patients a second chance at life.

His expertise in aortic surgery stands unrivaled, complemented by his innovative spirit that has led to the creation of more than 50 specialized surgical instruments.  Beyond the operating room, Dr. Bhan has built lasting legacies by establishing major cardiac surgical programs at Puttaparthi, Whitefield, and Max Heart & Vascular Institute in Saket.
